How to Use the Dive Case

1. Pre-Dive Check: Before each use, inspect the O-ring for debris, hair, or damage. Apply a thin layer of silicone grease if needed. Ensure the O-ring is seated correctly in its groove.
2. Insert Camera: Open the housing, place your Insta360 ONE X2 inside, and align the lenses with the transparent dome covers.
3. Seal the Case: Close the housing and secure the latch/clasp firmly. Verify that all edges are fully sealed with no gaps.
4. Water Test (Recommended): Before your first deep dive, submerge the empty case (or case with camera) in a pool or bucket for 10-15 minutes to check for leaks.

Is this dive case compatible with the Insta360 X3 or X4?

No. This case is designed exclusively for the Insta360 ONE X2. The X3 and X4 have larger bodies and require their own specific dive housings.

Will the 360° stitching still work with the case on?

Yes. The optical-grade transparent dome covers are designed to maintain clear visibility for both lenses, allowing Insta360's stitching algorithm to work properly in post-production. Some minor refraction may occur at extreme angles — this is normal for all underwater housings.

Can I use the touchscreen through the case?

No. The waterproof housing does not support touchscreen operation underwater. You should start recording and set your desired mode before sealing the case. The Insta360 ONE X2's single-button operation makes this easy — press once to start/stop recording.

How do I prevent fogging inside the case?

Place a small anti-fog insert or silica gel packet inside the housing before sealing. Avoid opening and closing the case in humid environments. If fogging occurs, open the case, dry both the camera and housing, and re-seal.

How deep can I safely take this case?

The case is rated to 30 meters (100 feet), which covers recreational scuba diving depths. Do not exceed this rating. For technical diving beyond 30m, professional-grade housings rated to 60m+ are recommended.

Does the case float or sink?

The case with the camera inside will sink. If you need flotation, attach a floating hand grip or buoyancy arm to the 1/4"-20 screw mount.

How do I maintain the O-ring seal?

After each use, rinse the case with fresh water. Periodically remove the O-ring, clean it with fresh water, inspect for nicks or debris, and apply a thin layer of silicone grease before reinstalling. Replace the O-ring if you notice any damage or if the case fails a water test.
